The Brazilian XLII Symposium on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (SBrT 2024) will take place from October 1st to 4th, 2024, in Princesa Louçã Hotel, Belém - PA, and will mark the return of the event to the city after 20 years. In particular, the year 2024 will be very promising for Belém, as preparations will be intense for the 30th UN Conference on Climate Change (COP-30). In this context, SBrT will appear as a landmark event for discussion and relevant contributions in the areas of Telecommunications and Signal Processing for the Amazon region. Based on this scenario, the organization of SBrT 2024 chose as the theme of the symposium: "Science, Innovation and Development in the Amazon: The challenges for a sustainable future"
